We really enjoyed our family break in Sayalonga. The house was perfect, very rustic and rural which was just what we wanted. Janet's directions to the house were spot on and she replied immediately with any questions that we had. The house was very well equipped and homely - it felt just like a home from home, although with far nicer weather and our own pool! We found the basics we needed in Sayalonga however we really liked going to Competa for a busier place. There was an excellent Lidl supermarket in Algaborro for the big shop too. There is no air conditioning in the house which I actually prefer, there were lots of fans to use instead. The only drawback if I had to think of one would be wardrobe space, particularly in the second bedroom but this is a minor thing! We are hoping to book again for next year as we enjoyed it so much. Thankyou for a wonderful stay.
We had a nice week in ths casa with the family (2 8y old boys). We arrived at night, thanks to the correct route description. (Maybe think of a better rental car, our modest fiat panda had a hard time getting up that hill with luggage and kids). The house is very wel equiped. We enjoyed the space and spend lots of days around the pool. In sayalonga we found nice restaurants, we tried all three and have no complaints (regional tapas, wonderful fresh fish, paella, meat ...)It's the details that make this house so nice e.g. the porch were you can have breakfast or lunch in the shadow without any insects, the space inside and outside so every familymember gets some me-time, all the equipment,...If we have an opportunity, we co back! It was what we need to charchd the batteries again!I
So we were lucky to have decided to stay at the villa this summer and were amazed by the quietness and wow views over the country side. The villa was like home from home and more. The pool was in the sun from about 10am till the sun went down. The birds around were varied and some that you would never see at home.We ventured to walk in the hills which gave us a challenge but one we took on most mornings. The access to the villa was better than a lot of villas we had used before. Most of the track to the top of the hill was concrete and gave us a lot of relief to see that. Most of the days noise was maybe a aircraft going by, or the odd vehicle on the track. Other than that ,pure bliss. If you want quietness, privacy, fantastic views, and lots of sunshine then this is a must.Didn't want to come home.
We have just spent a month in casa la sayalonga.it was a pleasant villa to stay in with stunning views over thesurrounding countryside, with only two or three cars passing each day, the only other noise was the wonderful birdsong. The people in the village were very friendly and we had some lovely meals in casa mari restaurant. So if you just want to relax, but still be close to the coast this villa is in a good location. We did not do a lot as we know the area well, but the coast is close by so you can have the best of both worlds. We will definitely be going back.John and Jenny.
