We stayed for 8 nights in the wonderfull villa las Palomas. The views are just excellent! The house itself is very well equiped and the rooms and bathrooms are very pleasant. The garden is lovely. We stayed at the end of April and the garden was full with flowers, nice palm trees. The views are stunning on to the surrounding hills. The pool - although not really warm at this time of year - was perfect.David was very welcoming and if we had a question or something, he was very helpfull. We also visited Granada (make reservations for the Alhambra well in advance), Cordoba and Malaga. All very nice cities.I would definitally recommed to spent your relaxing holiday in this very nice villa, with the nice villages and restaurants within easy driving distance.
We stayed for a week in August and got everything we wanted. Although the drive down the mountain was very hairy the first time it did feel a little less heart-stopping with each drive out! Fantastic views and very private. The villa felt spacious and had everything you needed, like a home from home. We all loved the pool which felt warm by late afternoon. Great Air-Con, which was needed! Table Mountain restaurant in Comares was worth the 15 minute drive. We would recommend booking through Vine Ridge retreats.
We had a fantastic break with our two daughters aged 9 & 11. The views are breathtaking, and waking up to the view from the master bedroom will stay with us. The villa offers everything that you would want but the one thing that we loved was the privacy and the feeling that you were the only ones with the views. The garden is beautiful and in August we were able to pick apples, limes and a mango from the trees that sit in the grounds.During our stay we have a couple of issues that were quickly resolved by David and Jacqui who were brilliant. We would happily come back again to stay.
We had a fantastic 2 weeks holiday. David was very helpful about things to do in the area. We visited many sites. The weather was hot but a welcome breeze being in the mountains. The villa was like home from home. The local restaurant at Camores, Table Mountain, was worth a visit to. The beaches at Nirja are worth a visit. We went canoeing on Lake Vineola.. We went to El Topical to see the limestone. The villa was clean and tidy the pool was regularly cleaned, Plenty of towels and bed linen. Highly recommended and we would like to return one day.
We visited here last summer for 6 nights, the directions were easily followed much easier than using a sat nav. The villa is beautiful inside & out, set in the most stunning location, the views are outstanding! We usually take holidays nearer beach locations, this was a first for us to go further inland & it won't be the last!It is the perfect setting for a relaxing holiday, & also within easy enough reach to supermarkets for stocking up.The pool is a lovely size, & the young man who came to clean it arrived very early in the morning so it wouldn't interfere with our swimming. We ate out at Table Mountain restaurant a few evenings, a short drive away that serves excellent English food.David & Jacqui are very friendly & helpful, booking with them was easy & straightforward. They are there if you need them & they give you privacy if you don't.If you enjoy the peaceful, relaxing type of holiday then this is the place to be. We look forward to returning soon.
After spending a wonderful few days with Jacqui and Dave at Vine Ridge, we were given a great deal to stay at this beautiful villa for the rest of our holidays. All the rooms were stunning, the pool was great and Jacqui and Dave were only a phonecall away if we needed them. Lovely BBQ outside and views- will definately be returning with out little son Mason.
Casa Los Palomas is a beautiful, tranquil setting with ample space and everything anyone could need to enjoy a really wonderful, relaxing holiday. The villa is built in such a way that you can appreciate the views in their full splendour and the pool and patio area is situated to give you sunshine from morning till night. The pool itself is a good size and is managed along with the gardens very well. The villa is furnished to a very high standard and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. The location is quiet and peaceful; you need to drive to get to any restaurants or supermarkets. The local restaurants we tried were very good and the Spanish people were so very friendly and hospitable.Tip – leave the satnav at home! Use Dave and Jacqui’s directions from the airport to the villa. The sat nav takes you via the “old” mountain road.. Which is not for the faint hearted.
This is a wonderful villa which feels like a real home and not just a holiday rental. There was plenty of room for our two teenage sons to relax and do their own thing both inside the villa and outside near the pool. The views of the surrounding mountains are amazing and watching the sun rise and go down was beautiful. Is is a lovely area to visit and I would thoroughly recommend this villa and area to anyone. David and Jacqui took great care of us and made our stay even better.
Casa Las Palomas is a beautiful, well designed and fully equipped villa in a stunning, quiet rural location.
We enjoyed a wonderful two week break there, dividing our time between lazy days around the pool and trips out to explore this unspoilt part of Andalucia.
The local hill top town of Comares is a must see, whilst the delights of Malaga (well worth a visit after a recent revamp) are less than an hour’s drive away. Even Granada is only two hours away. But it is the peaceful Andalucian countryside that dominates here from the moment you get up in the morning and take in the amazing view from the master bedroom window.
The villa has been built in a way that maximises the amount of sun on the large pool terrace - during our stay it popped up soon after eight in the morning and stayed there until gone eight in the evening. Perfect for sun worshippers. But, when the temperature soared, we were able to take advantage of numerous comfortable shady spots specifically created for the purpose.
After sundown, the large terrace barbecue made dining in a very attractive option, with pre-dinner drinks by the pool. Coupled with the use of a well appointed kitchen in the villa, the result was almost inevitable - we dined in most nights.
Overall a fantastic holiday, helped along by David & Jacqui’s friendly and efficient but unobtrusive presence. Las Palomas itself was undoubtedly the star of the show.
Casa Las Palomas is amazing!
We had a week here and were so sad to leave. The views are amazing and there's so many little spots to enjoy them from, my favourite was the little swing through the archway the pictures don't show, a definite gem!
We've been staying in villas once or twice a year for the last 4 or 5 years and this villa is the nicest we have stayed in, the pictures above make it look lovely, but when you get there you'll be even more stunned! Very well equipped and everything you will need to enjoy your stay.
We ate out twice in the evenings, both places around 10 minutes away, so handy to have close by. Table Mountain restaurant was delicious and very reasonable for the quality. Though most nights we spent BBQ'ing wine in hand!
We mainly went to the supermarket in Comares, again only about 10 minutes away and everything you could need, or sometimes on the way back from Torre Del Mar we went to the very large supermarket there.
This villa is far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet but close enough to things should you need it.
David and Jacqui made the whole booking process easy and gave us all the info we needed when we arrived. (And their directions were spot on and easy to follow - always a winner not getting lost on the way!)
