Casa Meyer is positioned just off the winding country road that leads up to Comares and gives the guests the opportunity to leave their car at the villa and walk up to Comares or down to the hamlet of Los Ventorros.
The views from the villa are incredible and although the draw of the pool is an obvious attraction of this rental, the added bonus of air-conditioning is an asset to comfortable living on baking summer nights. Satellite TV and the opportunity to have internet access is ideal for those needing to stay in touch with work or family whilst away.
Casa Meyer is a very private villa with a gated entrance and walled surroundings 3 sides of the villa. The non walled side is fenced, hence security and safety for pets and children is provided.
The one immediate neighbours house sits below the villa so your privacy is respected and the views from the pool and terraces.
The 3 bedrooms consisting of 2 doubles and 1 twin room, combined with a sofa-bed allow for 8 guests to stay in this comfy environment.
The kitchen has all that is expected for a villa of this style and size and also includes a washing machine, allowing you to restrict your luggage commitment upfront.
The large garden not only contains the 8 x 4 pool which focuses on the views, but also has a great BBQ and is planned so that children can let of steam in a safe environment.

Over the last 8/9 years I have stayed at multiple villas in the southern Spanish mountains (within hour or so of Malaga), different dependant upon how many of us went and luxury we were looking for. As discussed with Jacquie and David when they called by to check all was OK all villas are different and every one has its upsides and downsides This 3 bed villa, is incredibly good value for money. The only downside compared to any other villa I have stayed in is lack of a garden but the valley, the mountain upon mountain reaching into the distance, mean that you don't need a garden. The views are absolutely outstanding. The sun came up over ridge (mid May) at 8.30 in the morning and kept going round until it lost its strength at 8.30 pm. So whether you are an early riser wishing to take advantage of the sun or wanting to get out and come back and soak up some rays, then this villa has it all. Plenty of shaded areas too if you want to have that too. All three bedrooms are of a good size with plenty of wardrobe space, you certainly won't feel claustrophobic whichever room you have. I've moved around a bit with villas but this is one that I will go back to. For me it ticked so many boxes which the others (even those double / triple the price) were lacking. Five stars for both the villa and the attention given by David and Jacquie. Thanks and look forward to seeing you again October time.
Recently had a short stay at Casa Meyer with a group of friends, on arrival we were speechless at the beauty of the views enjoyed from all around Casa Meyer. The Villa was spotlessly clean and David from Vineridge had left us a lovely welcome pack that was very much appreciated after such a long journey.Casa Meyer is very well equipped even down to a good selection of books to read.We ventured into Los Ventorros which is a short stroll downhill and found the lovely El Molino Restaurant, great food here and we were made very welcome.I would highly recommend this Villa if you are looking for a peaceful holiday away from everything. Many thanks to David and Jackie Cullimore from Vineridge Retreats for all your help and information on the area during our stay.We look forward to booking with you again.
This is our third time booking through David & Jacqui and once again you delivered for us.A great villa, pool and location. 10 days of relaxation and peace and stunning views just what we needed. We have already booked our Honeymoon next year with David & Jacqui in a different Villa, We cannot waitThank you once again
Have just returned from a week in Casa Meyer and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is set in the mountains near Colmares, a moorish town set high on the hilltop. It was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and the pool was great. David and Jacqui were very helpful with the booking process and David called round a couple of times to check we were OK. Went to the Aquapark at Torre del Mar and the beach there as well; had Tapas in a small bar in Colamres and a lovely meal at Table Mountain just down the road.. Thank you very much indeed; throughly recommended.
Just returned from a week at Casa Meyer. David and Jacqui were so helpful to us both before as we booked and when we arrived, even leaving essentials in the fridge to get us started and a bottle of wine. The villa was perfect for us, breathtaking views of the mountains which changed every time you look out and sunshine from morning to late night. The pool was perfect for the children and the villa was lovely inside (although we spent hardly anytime inside as outside was so perfect!) Can't wait to go back
We have just returned from an excellent two weeks at Casa Meyer. I am very glad we followed David's advice and drove straight to the house, arriving in the middle of the night after a late flight. Waking up to the stunning views was memorable indeed and David and Jacqui were more than understanding about being awakened in the wee small hours due to our lack of skill with opening the key safe!
The house itself is lovely: very well equipped, clean and very comfortable. We found everything we needed and enjoyed barbecuing a few nights. The pool is a good size and the temperature was perfect. We spent most days relaxing in and around the pool or exploring the surrounding villages. The small village of Los Ventorros is an easy walk away (including for our three year old) and there is a nice bar a good restaurant there (Table Mountain). There are some great walks in the surrounding hills and the beach is half an hour away at Torre del Mar. It was a great location for our family – meeting the needs of both a teenager and a three year old!
Jacqui and David were extremely helpful throughout and very friendly. We would be very happy to recommend Casa Meyers.
Lovely villa, and stunning views impossible to forget. We came intending to do some sightseeing but fell for the peace and tranquility of the surroundings and spent much of our time relaxing at the villa and in the pool and eating locally.
The local people were both very pleasant and helpful.
The Table Mountain Restaurant was excellent and well worth a visit or three as was our choice.
