.
We have just returned from a 9 day stay at Casa Meyer and have to sayif you want a peaceful and get away from it all location then this ticks all the boxes.....great pool and a mountain backdrop that you will want to look at again and again....
If you don't have a car then Casa Meyer is about a 25 minute walk up to the hilltop village that is Comares...and there is a small supermarket there to stock up on supplies....
David and Jacqui are great for any assistance you may need and we can highly recommend Vine Ridge Retreats as your go to place if you are looking for that rural get away from it all holiday!...
We could have stayed even longer very easily....
Steve and Mark....
!
We spent 3 weeks at Casa Meyer. It was beautifully positioned to keep the sun all day, still sunbathing at 7.30pm. A well equipped villa in the remote hills of Comares meaning we had a peaceful and relaxed stay. The supermarkets in both Comares and Benamargosa are very well stocked and cheaper that the large Eroski in Velez-Malaga. A car is essential for days out to the larger towns on the Costa del Sol or to Gibraltar. David was always available to assist and as always helped us choose the right villa for our holiday. Would always recommend Vineridge Retreats. Thank you again.
Spent 10 nights in Casa Meyer excellent weather, stunning views, Villa well equiped , David very helpful and ensured everthing from directions to car hire all went smoothly, definatly reccommend vineridge retreats Villas.
Had a week last week and had a fabulous chill out time. Been coming to this villa for past 10yrs. home from home. Fine dining at he Hotel in Comares, and camping bar, and Los Venturas and other little village restaurants.
After going so many times would like to see chest of drawers in the main bedrooms and a large swing bin in kitchen, even a recycle swing bin too would make life more pleasant to keep the ants at bay. Otherwise, well be back.
Just got back from spending 2 weeks at Casa Meyer and can not fault the villa, views and weather. David popped over to make sure all was OK which it was. Relaxed by the pool used the BBQ for plenty of alfresco dining. Lovely cool breeze on a evening so we could sit outside and look out over the views and at the clear sky's at night. Pool was lovely to cool off in and very clean. Walked around the village of Camares and had drinks in the square. Travelled into Malaga along the mountain road, and yes there are a lot of bends in the road but the views are spectacular. Great villa for just relaxing or popping down to the coast for the day. Thank you David and Jacquie for another great villa to rent. Look forward to seeing you soon.
Over the last 8/9 years I have stayed at multiple villas in the southern Spanish mountains (within hour or so of Malaga), different dependant upon how many of us went and luxury we were looking for. As discussed with Jacquie and David when they called by to check all was OK all villas are different and every one has its upsides and downsides This 3 bed villa, is incredibly good value for money. The only downside compared to any other villa I have stayed in is lack of a garden but the valley, the mountain upon mountain reaching into the distance, mean that you don't need a garden. The views are absolutely outstanding. The sun came up over ridge (mid May) at 8.30 in the morning and kept going round until it lost its strength at 8.30 pm. So whether you are an early riser wishing to take advantage of the sun or wanting to get out and come back and soak up some rays, then this villa has it all. Plenty of shaded areas too if you want to have that too. All three bedrooms are of a good size with plenty of wardrobe space, you certainly won't feel claustrophobic whichever room you have. I've moved around a bit with villas but this is one that I will go back to. For me it ticked so many boxes which the others (even those double / triple the price) were lacking. Five stars for both the villa and the attention given by David and Jacquie. Thanks and look forward to seeing you again October time.
Recently had a short stay at Casa Meyer with a group of friends, on arrival we were speechless at the beauty of the views enjoyed from all around Casa Meyer.
The Villa was spotlessly clean and David from Vineridge had left us a lovely welcome pack that was very much appreciated after such a long journey.
Casa Meyer is very well equipped even down to a good selection of books to read.
We ventured into Los Ventorros which is a short stroll downhill and found the lovely El Molino Restaurant, great food here and we were made very welcome.
I would highly recommend this Villa if you are looking for a peaceful holiday away from everything.
Many thanks to David and Jackie Cullimore from Vineridge Retreats for all your help and information on the area during our stay.
We look forward to booking with you again.
This is our third time booking through David & Jacqui and once again you delivered for us.
