Las Encinillas

This place was absolutely perfect. A great retreat for me and my friends to enjoy our spring break. The host was extremely helpful and understanding all through out the week. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone staying in Malaga. W MANS

Great villa with beautiful views

We are a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children) and have just returned from a lovely stay at Las Encinillas. The Villa is spacious, very clean and has all of the amenities needed. The pool and outside space is perfect for the kids to play in and for us grow ups to relax. We didn't have a car but the village has a couple of shops, restaurants and bars which kept us occupied (shout out to the lady that owns the mini mart at the top of the hill!) There is a bus that departs the village on a Sunday which took us to Torre Del Mar which was great for the day. A huge thank you to David and Jackie for their personalised recommendation for this villa and just general helpfulness. Comares is beautiful and we will be back!!

Once again, 5yrs after our first stay at Las Enchinillas, we came to stay here. I'm a year late writing this review (it's been a bit of a challenging year), reminiscing about last summer, wishing we were here again. As always David was fabulous in supporting our stay and he even went out of his way to source a dart board for our 15yr old son who is really into darts. The changes to the outside downstairs area are great, allowing a peaceful and shaded space to chill out and relax during tbe day or in the evening. My boys were really pleased to have the dart board when they weren't in the pool.
Once again we went without hiring a car and trekked up to the Coviran shop although having the new little mini mart closer was very helpful in the heat, saving time and effort!! The lady was very friendly calling us and I'm sure all tourists 'amigos'. As we have 4 children, 2 being adults; Las Enchinillas is ideal for us giving them their own room and private space. We didn't actually venture very far (an early morning coach trip to Malaga for the two ladies) because we just needed to relax and rest, enjoying the pool and reading. If you are happy to get a taxi you really are able to holiday here without car hire but maybe one day we will get one and explore more of the beautiful surroundings.
Thank you once again to David and Jacqui for being superstars and fir all their help and assistance. Hoping we will be back again one day.

Our first time staying here and using vine ridge retreats. Cannot fault either. Everything you need to make a perfect holiday . Right across road from the camping bar who do great food. 10 mins into town on foot. Cannot fault accommodation in any way and highly recommend to anybody thinking of staying.

The house was very clean, well presented with everything we needed for our month long stay. Lovely pool area, which was great to cool off on hot days. Nice to have fresh lemons every day from the lemon trees in the garden! Location was excellent,15 minute walk into village for bars & restaurants, stunning views, we met with the owner on the days he came to clean the pool, absolute gentleman & a lovely man. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful villa, had everything we needed, very quiet and amazing views

To all the fans of vineridge retreats you will know they like every one to leave a review, but we have been to Las Encinillas so often ,as you can see from previous reviews, there is not a lot more to say, except it is still a great place for a peaceful holiday.
So let's for a change a something about David and Jacqui who own vineridge retreats. I know it,s been said before,but these two lovely people really do make a your holiday in rural Spain special. There knowledge of the area is outstanding, especially if you like walking,which David is a great fan of via some lovely tapas bars on the way.So all we can say is ,if you want to try rural Spain Comares is the way to start. This was our third stay in Comares with Vine Ridge Retreats and I'd did not disappoint! Having always gone to the more rural villas it was fantastic to be on the edge of the village - the perfect location for us - still quiet but a few minutes walk to the amenities in the village. Perfect location for some early morning hikes as well!
The villa itself is a lovely spacious home - with loads of cute little areas - the kids loved the outside den space!
Loved seeing the mountain goats hanging around on the land up from the pool and also we miss the cat!!!

Our second visit to this lovely villa and it’s even better than before! The new outdoor shaded seating area is great and we used this a lot during the afternoons. The outside toilet is also a great addition and saves you the walk back up into the house during the day. The villa is well equipped and very clean and the fans in the bedroom were especially appreciated. The pool is fantastic, so beautifully clean and well maintained - it was a joy to swim in. We used the bbq a few times but the nearby restaurants are so good and such great value (especially Mirador) that we did eat out quite a bit. We enjoyed a couple of meals up in the Green Olive restaurant too if you don’t mind the 15 minute walk up to Comares. A huge thank you to David & Jackie who made the holiday so easy and enjoyable yet again. We look forward to returning to Las Encinillas again!
