Casa Las Encinillas is a grand 4 Bedroom well equipped Villa with private pool located on the edge of the Village of Comares. It boasts wonderful views looking across the mountains. It is located just opposite a local Bar/Restaurant and near to the local Swimming pool and another great Bar/Restaurant the Camping bar with good value food and great views to the coast. The accommodation is cleverly designed to fully appreciate the views and built totally on the upper level, hence the access is via an external staircase to the left , which is poolside.
Below is the owners garage and storage area.
The location of this very proud looking villa allows you to leave the car at the villa and walk to the village hub in about 10 -15 minutes away, but also have great bar/ restaurants on your doorstep.
Feasibly if you required a relaxing holiday you could survive without a car, but please take into account although buses in rural Spain are clean and cheap they are not frequent.

We have holidayed in this area for several years and this is the largest property we have stayed in and is much better than the pictures portray online. There is an area next to the BBQ which is covered with bamboo and is great cover in hot sun and a place to sit and eat in the evenings. There are two additional outdoor seating areas on the upper levels of the house, not big enough for a large number of people to eat but great for an afternoon coffee or evening drink. The town is a short walk uphill and the local supermarket is very well stocked. There is also another store around the corner, and several bars are close by. You could easily manage to get by for a few days without going down the mountain to the bigger hypermarket. There are two great places to eat just across the road and we would recommend either of them. Our final evening was spent a walk across the road at Atalaya and five of us ate home cooked Spanish food (including Pig Cheeks and locally sourced pork) for €120 including wine and beers. We love this area of Spain and would recommend this property to anyone who wants self-catering with the opportunity to shop locally, eat, drink and walk home.
We've just had the most wonderful and relaxing holiday in Las Encinillas. The villa is very comfortable and clean with great views from the front of the house and is ideally located within 10 minutes walking distance of Comares town centre. We spent most of our time relaxing around the pool which is immaculately kept and well equipped with sun loungers and parasols. Breakfast on the rear terrace was a lovely start to the day. There are three good restaurants within walking distance, Hotel Atalaya is just across the road from the villa and serves wonderful traditional Spanish cooking - the Secreto Iberico pork is simply melt-in-the mouth delicious! The Mirador which is 5 minutes away has wonderful views and serves very good value Spanish food (the steak was excellent) - it's a big hit with local and visiting Brits. Our favourite restaurant though was Hotel Molino in the market square - there's a wonderful courtyard restaurant at the back with stunning views and the Argentinian steaks are superb not to mention the Gambas al pil pil! David and Jacqui were very helpful and knowledgeable when booking and the welcome pack on arrival was perfect - thank you for a lovely holiday.
Lass encinillas is a beautiful charming spanish home. It is very well equipped and comfortable. We enjoyed every minute of our stay here. The pool and outside areas are spacious and the rear terrace pefect for relaxing evenings. The barbecue has its own little kitchen area too. The mountain views all around are spectacular. The Mirador restaurant(2 minutes walk) is very friendly and serves great steaks. We often walked to Comares village which is a must to see and had coffee in the square. The market at Torres del Mar on Thursday is a good day out too. We hope to return!
Have just returned from a wonderful stay at Las Encinillas. The Villa itself is very well equipped and was very clean and tidy when we arrived. The pool area is beautiful and also exceptionally clean. BBQ is fantastic and we enjoyed many BBQ,s whilst we were there. Lots of little sunny and shady areas around the garden to sit and enjoy the views. You are within walking distance to 2 lovely restaurants that both offer very good quality and value food. You are also just a short 10-15 minute walk away from the wonderful town of Comares where you will find a Supermarket, Pharmacy and 3 other Bar Restaurants. We were met by David from Vineridge Retreats who was very helpful and I would have no hesitation in booking through Vineridge again. We also received a lovely welcome pack which was very much appreciated after a long journey.Already thinking about my next trip to this beautiful area of Spain 😊
We have just returned from a lovely relaxing 18 day holiday at Las Encinillas in Comares. We were picked up by David from the airport and he stopped at the supermarket so we could stock up on essentials. The cost was £70 which we thought was very reasonable. When we arrived at the villa it was clean and tidy. As the villa can sleep up to 8 people and there were only 3 of us there was plenty of room. We chose to not hire a car and we managed very well without one. There are 2 bar/restaurants across the road from the villa and they were both very friendly and served good food at very reasonable prices. Comares village is approx a 15 min scenic walk up the hill. There are a few more bar/restaurants there and a well stocked supermarket which had everything we needed for our stay. We were a bit apprehensive about the fact there was no air con, but there was a cool breeze at night with the windows open and the fans on which sufficed. Unfortunately the last few days were really hot 40c and it was uncomfortable sleeping at night. Even the locals were saying how hot it was compared to normal. The pool and pool area were in good order and clean. The owner came once a week to clean the pool, surrounding areas and to water his plants. David was very helpful and on hand at all times. All in all we had a great relaxing time and would visit again.
This is a fabulous villa and as there were only 4 of us it was very spacious! The pool area is very private, not overlooked at all and gets the sun all day. There were 8 sunbeds and 2 parasols along with 8 chairs in a separate shaded seating area. Pool is a decent size for a villa and was clean - the owner stopped by mid week to clean it properly and in between we only needed to scoop dead wasps etc. out of the water, check the water level and replace the chlorine tablets when necessary.
The property has wifi and you can get the Disney channel on in English on the TV. Although there is no air con, there are fans which were more than adequate and there was generally a good breeze if you opened a door / window anyway. My husband really feels the heat and he thought having a fan next to the bed was better than air con we have had in a number of properties so don't let this put you off!! The only downside for us was that the villa had no dishwasher but we ate out most of the time and bought paper plates / plastic cups which meant this wasn't really an issue. Plastic cups are also useful to have for drinks by the pool as when we stayed there were only glasses. We struggled to get hot water if the washing machine was on but this may just have been us and was easy to work around!
David and Jacqui who took our booking were extremely helpful and couldn't do enough to help. They were always available on e-mail to assist with any questions we had both before we travelled and during our stay. On our arrival at the villa you could smell (and see) it was clean and David and Jacqui had also gone to the trouble of getting us a few groceries to get us started (milk, orange juice, eggs, water, wine etc!!) which was brilliant and really appreciated. The owner also left us an abundance of freshly picked grapes (from out the back of the villa) to keep us going throughout our stay!
David organised our transfers and he was prompt, reliable and friendly. Even when my son was vomiting into a plastic bag in the back of the car on the way to the airport, he didn't complain!!! Beware, the roads to the villa are winding and can make even the best traveller feel a bit queasy but it is well worth it when you get there!!!
Finally, it is about a 15 minute stroll up into the town centre and 10 minutes back (downhill!!) where we found 3 restaurant / bars (in addition to the 2 next to the villa). The supermarket is also in the centre and is very well stocked for its size, including a fresh meat and produce counter. As is the norm in these Spanish villages, be aware that they only take cash and close on a Sunday. We didn't have a car and if you just want to stay local, it easily manageable.
