Casa Las Encinillas is a grand 4 Bedroom well equipped Villa with private pool located on the edge of the Village of Comares. It boasts wonderful views looking across the mountains. It is located just opposite a local Bar/Restaurant and near to the local Swimming pool and another great Bar/Restaurant the Camping bar with good value food and great views to the coast. The accommodation is cleverly designed to fully appreciate the views and built totally on the upper level, hence the access is via an external staircase to the left , which is poolside.
Below is the owners garage and storage area.
The location of this very proud looking villa allows you to leave the car at the villa and walk to the village hub in about 10 -15 minutes away, but also have great bar/ restaurants on your doorstep.
Feasibly if you required a relaxing holiday you could survive without a car, but please take into account although buses in rural Spain are clean and cheap they are not frequent.
Airport pick ups can be arranged at great value prices.

Second winter spent in this amazing villa.
Once again couldn’t recommend it enough, it was spotless as usual and had everything we could possibly need.
The pool and pool deck are lovely and a great place to while away a lovely sunny afternoon. The villa owner comes every weekend to tend to the garden and pool, he is a lovely man and not in any way intrusive.
The views from the villa are spectacular and it is very well situated with 2 bar restaurants very close, both serving great food.
A walk up to the village ( down hill coming back) you have a further 4 bar/ restaurants including the very quaint hotel which used to be an olive mill and still has all the machinery in situ.
Comares itself is an authentic Spanish village and a wander round the narrow, winding streets is a must.
The shop in the village is very well stocked and competitively priced including fresh bread, meats, fruit and veg etc. There is also a bakers, bank and tobacconist in the village.
David and Jacqui from vine ridge are lovely people who go the extra mile to ensure you have a wonderful holiday experience.
We will be back !!
We stayed at this large family sized Casa for 5 days and it is great for large groups for its sheer size!!...there are 2 restaurants close by and it is about a 10 to 15 minute walk to Comares...
There is a gated swimming pool and a large balcony for you to sit at amd watch the world go by....large kitchen and 2 bathrooms we almost got lost here as there was only the pair of us staying!!
Again the service from David and Jacqui who picked us up to take us back to the airport was fantastic....
Rural Spain at it's best with Vine Ridge Retreats!!
This is a fabulous villa and the holiday was everything we needed!! The villa is spacious, spotless and has everything you need in the villa and in walking distance. The pool is fantastic and the village is lovely. We were there for the fiesta which was a really great weekend of drinking and eating and watching the flamenco dancers and the horses. The best thing though is the service David and Jacqui provide they tucked all the boxes I asked for and were super helpfully I will definitely return to Comares and to Vine Ridge Retreats. ????????????????
Just back from a wonderfully chilled 2 weeks with our family. Our 4 children ranging from 5 through to 18 loved the villa and pool. David was very helpful and thoughtful- dropping off a ball for the boys to use at the basketball/football playground 5mins walk away. The villa is very spacious and equipped with all you might need and is even better than the photos depict. The rear terrace was a lovely spot to have breakfast in the mornings or for a bit of a breeze in the late evening. We were a little worried about not hiring a car and if we'd be able to survive although having read one of the other reviews saying it was possible and that there were restaurants, a shop and a bank in walking distance we decided we'd risk it and were pleasantly surprised to find we did indeed manage without a car. Most days we walked up the slightly steep short route (there was an easier slightly less steep route via the moorish arch) to get essentials from the shop which was well stocked for it's size and very reasonably if not cheaply priced. This meant that we didn't put on the obligatory half a stone we usually put on when holidaying in hotels with big breakfasts! It certainly was exercise but rewarded with amazingly stunning scenic views. We booked a taxi (7 seater) to go to Malaga for the day where we enjoyed the sights of the cathedral and Picasso museum. We were going to visit the aqua park and boating reservoir too but in the end opted to stay at the villa and enjoy swimming in the beautiful pool. The Atalaya restaurant was literally a few steps across the road and again following one of the reviews about it's delights, we opted for the secreto Iberico pork on our last night and it was delicious. The next closest restaurant, the Mirador- camping bar was good for the children and good value. We enjoyed using the BBQ and outdoor undercover seating nearby the pool. David was always on the end of the phone if needed and very helpful. We had been recommended Comares by friends who came last summer and we were not disappointed. If you fancy a quieter, more natural and real piece of Spain rather than the tourist areas, and can cope with the numerous bends to get up or down the mountain (our sons got a bit motion sick and suffered with their ears) to visit other places within an hour drive then this beautiful unspoilt area is thoroughly recommended by our family and the gorgeous villa is great to chill out in. We'd happily holiday here again.
just got back after 14 nights stay in this fantastic villa, villa pool all grounds extremely clean, great location across from Antalya bar and a couple of minutes walk up to the camping bar which i can highly recommend great food and beer good prices Paul and owners very friendly.
We are on our way home following almost 6 months staying at this wonderful villa.
It is in a wonderful location with great views and 2 really good restaurants very close by, both selling great food at reasonable prices.
A 15 minute walk will take you up to the village of Comares where you will find a further 3 restaurant/ bars, a very well stocked supermarket which is extremely competatively priced, a bakers, tobacconist and bank with a cash machine.
The village itself is very quaint with amazing views from all sides and it’s downhill back to the villa.
The villa itself is large and comfortable, it and the grounds and pool were spotless when we arrived and the owner comes once a week to tend to the pool and grounds, he and his wife are extremely lovely people and in no way intrusive.
The pool area is in the sun all day and is gated so secure for children, it is secluded and not overlooked, there is plenty of good quality pool furniture and parasols for shade when the sun gets too hot.
There are several seating areas in the shade and/or the sun depending on your preference either on one of the balconies or by the barbecue.
The house is easily reached directly from the road with no track to negotiate and there is plenty of parking which is gated.
The area around the villa is great for exploring either by foot or car, and the coast can be reached in approx 40 minutes.
We enjoyed our stay so much we have booked again for this winter and can’t wait to came back.
David and jacqui at vine ridge retreats were fantastic, they kept in touch throughout our stay and made us feel very welcome.
We would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a holiday home in the sun in a beautiful unspoilt location, away from the busy resorts but within walking distance of amenities.
We have holidayed in this area for several years and this is the largest property we have stayed in and is much better than the pictures portray online. There is an area next to the BBQ which is covered with bamboo and is great cover in hot sun and a place to sit and eat in the evenings. There are two additional outdoor seating areas on the upper levels of the house, not big enough for a large number of people to eat but great for an afternoon coffee or evening drink.
The town is a short walk uphill and the local supermarket is very well stocked. There is also another store around the corner, and several bars are close by. You could easily manage to get by for a few days without going down the mountain to the bigger hypermarket. There are two great places to eat just across the road and we would recommend either of them. Our final evening was spent a walk across the road at Atalaya and five of us ate home cooked Spanish food (including Pig Cheeks and locally sourced pork) for €120 including wine and beers.
We love this area of Spain and would recommend this property to anyone who wants self-catering with the opportunity to shop locally, eat, drink and walk home.
We've just had the most wonderful and relaxing holiday in Las Encinillas. The villa is very comfortable and clean with great views from the front of the house and is ideally located within 10 minutes walking distance of Comares town centre. We spent most of our time relaxing around the pool which is immaculately kept and well equipped with sun loungers and parasols. Breakfast on the rear terrace was a lovely start to the day. There are three good restaurants within walking distance, Hotel Atalaya is just across the road from the villa and serves wonderful traditional Spanish cooking - the Secreto Iberico pork is simply melt-in-the mouth delicious! The Mirador which is 5 minutes away has wonderful views and serves very good value Spanish food (the steak was excellent) - it's a big hit with local and visiting Brits. Our favourite restaurant though was Hotel Molino in the market square - there's a wonderful courtyard restaurant at the back with stunning views and the Argentinian steaks are superb not to mention the Gambas al pil pil! David and Jacqui were very helpful and knowledgeable when booking and the welcome pack on arrival was perfect - thank you for a lovely holiday.
Lass encinillas is a beautiful charming spanish home. It is very well equipped and comfortable. We enjoyed every minute of our stay here. The pool and outside areas are spacious and the rear terrace pefect for relaxing evenings. The barbecue has its own little kitchen area too. The mountain views all around are spectacular. The Mirador restaurant(2 minutes walk) is very friendly and serves great steaks. We often walked to Comares village which is a must to see and had coffee in the square. The market at Torres del Mar on Thursday is a good day out too. We hope to return!
Have just returned from a wonderful stay at Las Encinillas. The Villa itself is very well equipped and was very clean and tidy when we arrived. The pool area is beautiful and also exceptionally clean. BBQ is fantastic and we enjoyed many BBQ,s whilst we were there. Lots of little sunny and shady areas around the garden to sit and enjoy the views. You are within walking distance to 2 lovely restaurants that both offer very good quality and value food. You are also just a short 10-15 minute walk away from the wonderful town of Comares where you will find a Supermarket, Pharmacy and 3 other Bar Restaurants. We were met by David from Vineridge Retreats who was very helpful and I would have no hesitation in booking through Vineridge again. We also received a lovely welcome pack which was very much appreciated after a long journey.
Already thinking about my next trip to this beautiful area of Spain ????
