There are many wonderful places to visit while staying here, the beach at Torre del Mar is a 40 minute drive away. Nerja is a beautiful town with great beaches and plenty to do and see.

Fabulous villa with breath taking views from both
sides of the villa. Have loved watching the Ibex
roaming around and have great videos of them
drinking from the pool. Great to meet up with David
and already looking at next year PS don’t tell

Our first stay with Vine Ridge Retreats and couldn't have been happier! Everything about our stay was stunning!
The location is amazing, high up in the hills of Comares with the quiet, beautiful village a short walk away. Spectacular views in all directions and a welcomed delicate, soft breeze. We couldn't believe we had the villa all to ourselves. Luxurious, immaculate and well equipped with loads of room. We sat somewhere different each night for dinner! The Aircon was very reasonable. The pool was gorgeous, large, deep and pristine - we spent hours there! The books are a fabulous addition: I read two!
David and Vine Ridge Retreats are highly professional and well organised - fantastic communication and really helpful.
We will be back and have recommended to all our friends!

We’ve just enjoyed another wonderful stay at Pena Blanca. It has everything you could possibly need and more. A real home from home. It was great to see the Ibex on more than one occasion drinking from the pool. It was way too hot to do a lot of walking only managed one walk to the village of Comares. Thank you so much to both David & Jacqui for all your help as always and it was good to catch up with you both.

Really enjoyed our stay at Pena Blanca.
A real home away from home with everything we could need.
Pool was amazing and being so close to Comares was ideal.
David was so helpful and went out of his way with suggestions and nothing was an issue.
I would say follow David’s directions to the villa and don’t rely on GPS as we got lost.
We and our young adult kids had a wonderful time.

Villa was practically perfect in every way, spectacular views from every window (even the utility room!) and we’ve never had a terrace off an ensuite bathroom before – we were very spoilt.
Pool was kept beautifully clean by the lovely Ferry and villa was spotless upon arrival.
Communication with David was great, very informative and timely
Marvellously located, so close to Comares yet seemingly perched on its own mountainside, we’re already missing our Ibex neighbours
We had a lovely time at Pena Blanca, peace and quiet for time to rest and recuperate. Views were amazing!!
Everything you need in and out of the villa, with a short walk to Comares for a quick shop or just half an hour down to the Supermarkets.

This villa is absolutely stunning. Our 2nd visit this June and we have already booked again for 2025. The location is out of this world - sweeping long distance views from all lookout points, stunning sunsets, very private yet able to wander into town (though would only do so for a drink, not shopping!)
Comares is great - has everything you need and big supermarkets only 1/2 hour away.
The villa itself is wonderful - beautifully furnished and maintained - has everything you could want. Really high quality. The pool is perfect - and the occaional thirsty visitors are a sight to behold. i felt truly awestruck seeing the Ibex(es)!
Communication with David was great - we had the most fabulous holiday and cant wait to return! It is best villa - but don’t tell too many people please!
What can we say …. what a fabulous villa in a great location to the hilltop village of Comares. Peña Blanca has everything you could possibly need and has been well designed in terms of its layout. It is the perfect get away to enjoy peace and tranquility on our favourite magic mountain. There is a pathway up to the village however you need to be reasonably fit and will definitely need strong sturdy footwear. Thanks again to David & Jacqui who are always happy to help and accommodate. Looking forward to returning back again next year.

Great villa in an amazing location. Comares is a small village with a few bars and a great restaurant. The drive up to Comares is challenging but enjoyable. There are plenty of places to visit within an easy drive. The views from the pool are amazing and we saw the Ibex up close several times . Make sure you've got a torch if you're going to walk up to the village at night .David was easy to contact if we needed him . Fully recommended villa and hopefully we'll be back one day with the whole family.

We returned today from two weeks at Peña Blanca and have had such a relaxing time (12 books read!!). The photos don’t do it justice at all- the rooms are clean, airy and there are balconies from every upstairs room giving you 360 degree views of the surrounding valleys. We only braved the climb into the village once due to the intense heat but we ate at the ‘Camping’ Mirador three times due to the lovely food at great value for money. If you want to stay away from the ‘tourist’ hotspots then visit Mijas Pueblo ( white hilltop village with lovely shops), Cuevas de Nerja (the VR experience included with the tickets was brilliant!) and if you don’t mind a 2 hour drive on windy mountain roads then Cordoba is beautiful. We used the shop on the village a couple of times for essentials but tended to shop at Eroski in Vélez-Malaga on the way back from days out as it’s a larger supermarket inside a shopping centre (which the teen daughters loved- Zara, Bershka etc!)
