Vine Ridge Apartment

A warm welcome by David and Jaquie. After fantastic days at Vine Ridge, where you can completely relax and enjoy the sun and the pool and jacuzzi, not to mention the fantastic view.

Had a cheeky last minute weeks holiday in the Vine Ridge apartment and we were absolutely blown away by the views across the valley. David and Jacqui have an incredible villa perched high up just beneath Comares with a stunning vista taking in the mountains and the valley all the way down to the coast. The apartment was cozy and well equipped with a lovely shower room and huge comfy bed. The pool and chill area is lovely and takes full advantage of the vista. The pool is a little cool for me in April but we took full advantage of the splendid jacuzzi. Whilst the winding graded track from the main road is narrow it was ok and we soon got used to just driving steadily up to the villa. Our friendly hosts were always around to advise or help but without being intrusive. Great spot to just chill out and unwind in nature but also handy for the beautiful Comares, being only a 10 minute drive. Also handy for nearby village/town markets and a trip to our favourite Spanish seaside town in Nerja. A great location and one we can’t wait to visit again soon!

David and Jackie were so so welcoming and helpful! We followed there directions carefully to get up the mountain and woke up the the most breathtaking view. This was one of the most beautiful places we have ever been and we definitely want to come back as soon as we can. There are a ton of small cute towns near the house that we spent time exploring and hiking too. Thank you David and Jackie for your hospitality, kindness, and all your amazing recommendations including Nerja which was our favorite place, you guys are great host!

David's place up in the hills is absolutely magic and the ideal place for everyone how wants to enjoy the beauty of the surrounding landscape. David was extremely kind, helpful and proactive.. Will be back for sure!

The accommodation is very cared for and clean, has everything and the views are spectacular. The treatment from David and Jacqui is unparalleled. He cares very much that you are comfortable, and they are always for everything you need. Also, they make good recommendations from the surrounding area.
The only catch I could get is the accessibility to the home as you have to go through a dirt road without a lot of security. But it's a normal thing in a house in the middle of the mountain.
For a quiet and relaxed stay is ideal. In addition, it has a Jacuzzi and swimming pool, which for summer is a big plus.

We always enjoy returning to Vine Ridge, as we have done so now for many years. David & Jacqui provide such a warm and friendly welcome and strive to think of everything we might need during our stay - especially all the small essentials needed for cooking you don't want to have to buy after your flight just for a short stay. It feels so idyllically homely being visited by the "Three Amigos" - the friendly family dogs - as dog-lovers ourselves. As ever, the view is vast and stunning and ever-changing, and you don't have to even get out of bed to see it! If you are a star-gazer the clear mountain air is ideal to see the constellations. I enjoy the morning (slightly vigorous!) walk up the hill track from the villa to the beautiful Moorish hilltop town of Comares for fresh bread and strong coffee in the square. And it's all downhill on the way back! My partner loves the proximity of Torre del Mar and walking along the beachfront, Now I'm back home I wish I could be back there again. Hasta Pronto!

We returned to our "happy place" again though slightly later in the year. Despite being November the weather was beautifully sunny almost every day, the amazing view from the apartment was just as stunning by day and night and the welcome from David & Jacqui and the "Three amigos" was just as warm. A very relaxing week at Vine Ridge with every self-catering accessory provided by our hosts in the apartment. I wish i was back there now!

My daughter and I came back after we had a wonderful stay at Vine Ridge Retreats last year. We knew why and we had the same great experience as last year. Davod and Jacqui are wonderful hosts, nice and always accessible. Whether it’s for recommendations or a casual chat im the morning.
The apartment comes with everything you’ll need and is situated in the most beautiful location in the hills surrounding Comares. Spectacular views guaranteed.
The pool area is a great start for a relaxing day and beaches aren’t far away either. Stargazing at night was the usual fun.

Absolutely stunning views!! Very clean studio with all you need, and a very charming outside dinning and lounge area with pool and spa. The hosts are super nice people, that will help you with advice for trips, restaurants etc, but also respect your privacy.
