The apartment is the biggest rental at Vine Ridge and is similar in style to the studio but has the added benefit of another room with a single bed, which is ideal for couples/friends wanting to sleep separately or for an extra adult.
The kitchen as with the studio is Spanish influenced with curtained units in a colourful style and has a fridge/freezer, 4 ring gas hob, microwave, toaster and everything you would expect in regards to cutlery and utensils.
There is a table in the kitchen area for use when the weather is not nice enough to enjoy the outside dining space.
There are 2 comfy armchairs that have been positioned to soak up the incredible views that are beyond the 2 metre windows.
Opposite the armchairs is a TV, with some English channels, BBC, ITV, Channel 4 & 5 and a DVD player and there are also plenty of books always at hand for you to read or refer to. Wi-fi is available.
The shower room has a large walk in mosaic tiled shower and WC and basin.
Outside of the Apartment are tables and chairs in your own area and rustic stairs leading up to the pool terrace.
We have added a Jacuzzi for use in the Autumn/Winter months.

Absolutely stunning views!! Very clean studio with all you need, and a very charming outside dinning and lounge area with pool and spa. The hosts are super nice people, that will help you with advice for trips, restaurants etc, but also respect your privacy.
David and Jacqui really know how to make their guests feel welcome. They are perfect hosts. My daughter (10y) and I enjoyed staying in their house very much. Everything was as communicated and they were always available for questions or tipps regarding what to do or what to see. The Apartment was very clean and stocked with everything you need. Views are amazing and so was the pool. We would definitely come back. And most likely we will :)…
It was my second visit to Vine Ridge. This time it was not only for relaxation but also to write a book on Restorative Yoga. It will be the first book on this subject in Dutch. The perfect place to stay for almost a month. The quietness was perfect so I could concentrate on writing my book, and it was also very comforting knowing that David and Jacqui were close by (and we could have a chat - they are both ever so friendly) when my solitude became a bit lonely. During my stay I also taught some yoga classes online via Zoom and it was a perfect wifi connection. So this place is not only great for a holiday when you love to be in a little bit remote area with great views, it is also perfect when you want to do some online working.
I felt comfortable and at home!
Just arrived back from a 10 day stay at Vine Ridge. David and Jaqui are great hosts and have a wealth of knowledge of the area. The apartment is well equipped and has everything you need for your stay. The views, amazing! Incredible sunsets and sunrises and you see something different everytime you look. It is remote but for us, that was the beauty of the place and we all found it incredibly relaxing. A few good restaurants in the village of Comares but the walk isnt for the faint hearted! Torres del Mar is well worth a visit, good restaurants and a great vibe.
David and Jacqui are great and lovely hosts! They really care about their guests. The booking process is professional and the view is STUNNING! It is even more beautiful than in pictures. The apartment is lovley decorated. I really felt comfortable. Everything was clean and tidy. Vine Ridge is perfect for everyone who wants to have great and awesome vacations.
I can really recomment VineRidge!
I´ll come back.
Ps.: The dogs are so adorable and cute, that was a great extra to it.
We spent a wonderful and tranquil week at Vine Ridge in February 2019. We loved waking up each morning to see the sun rising over the mountains slowly lighting the distant villages and spent hours scanning the valleys through binoculars. The views are spectacular. Binoculars are a must! While we were staying in February the blossom on almond trees was very attractive and there were plenty of small birds to see moving through the olive trees. The uphill walk to Comares took about half an hour but we were excited to see a herd of ibex on the Comares side of the ridge and spent a morning watching olives being harvested by villagers and carried away using packhorses. We hope to visit again in the near future
Just returned from a short break at Vine Ridge. I wasn't prepared for how spectacularly beautiful the setting and the views were! David & Jacqui were the perfect hosts - friendly, informative, and so incredibly helpful. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends. One last thing - the beds were really comfortable!
We had every intention of doing lots of walking whilst based at Vine Ridge …. but the views were so spectacular from our apartment that we ended up gazing out at them in wonder from the comfort of a sun chair, or bench, or dining table, or poolside (basking in the sunshine the while) … or bed!
Our visit in late January was a taste of heaven with the almond blossom sprinkling the mountain slopes with foams of blossom - and smelling of honey - and a perfect mix of warm sunshine and cool, fresh mountain air. The pretty village of Comares, perched on top of the hill behind Vine Ridge, is a reasonably strenuous but perfect evening walk for when the day is cooling. There is a very good shop for stocking up if self-catering and a few good places to eat when feeling lazy.
The most relaxing way to end a touring holiday of Andalusia. We are coming back at the next opportunity to see more of this beautiful and tranquil area … and to enjoy David and Jaqui’s easy-going and warm hospitality. A place in a million!
If flying, I rarely go to the same place twice: life is too short. Vine Ridge is an exception - I've now been there four times ! The location is stunning, rooms generous and well-equipped, and David and Jacqui the perfect hosts - what more could one really want?!
What can I say, Vine Ridge is an amazing place, scenery is breathtaking and such a peaceful and relaxing place. We arrived at Malaga airport and picked up our hire car (glad that we chose an automatic as it helped with all the mountains we had to navigate). The directions David emailed were great. The initial drive up to the apartment is pretty scary and I didn't think that we would ever dare go back down, but surprisingly, once you have done it a few times it seems pretty easy and well worth it as the views are amazing. David and Jacqui are great hosts and always available when needed, a good source of information and advice about the local area. Our daughter loved the 3 dogs, Chico, Charlie and Bruno.
We spent the first couple of days unwinding and just relaxing and then decided to go out and take in some of what the area has to offer. We decided on a trip out to Bermejales reservoir, which was beautiful and even in the middle of July was very quiet with hardly anybody on the beach area in front of the reservoir. We hired a pedalo and had great fun swimming in the clear, warm water of the lake. Be sure to take a picnic and plenty of drinks though as there is only a small campsite behind the beach and facilities on the beach are not great. We also walked up the old goat track to Comares, which was hard work but well worth it, the village itself is charming.
The nearby beaches at Nerja and Torrox are lovely and you can hire equipment and do some water sports at Buriana beach in Nerja, which is great fun. The nearest supermarket is in Benemagosa - 15 mins drive down which has everything you need to stock up with.
We spent a lot of time in the evenings just sitting outside our apartment and staring in awe at the amazing view of the Andalusian mountains. We had lovely barbecues and shared lazy days with our books by the pool. The pool area is lovely and clean with plenty of sun loungers. David also stocks the fridge/freezer by the pool with icecream, water, beers and wine, which was a fab idea and very welcome. Our 10 year old daughter wanted to spend most of her time playing in the pool, we had to drag her away to the beach and for trips out.
We can highly recommend a trip to Frigiliana, an absolutely beautiful place to visit. Gorgeous views, lovely shops and a nice place for a meal, La Taberna del Sacristan is an amazing place to eat, the food is fantastic, the best place that we ate in our 2 weeks holiday.
Forget the all inclusive, package deals offered to tourists, go to Vine Ridge Resort in the Andalusian mountains and really get away from everything and relax in the "Real Spain".
A great value family holiday in a fantastic setting.
David and Jackie, thank you once again for this special taste of paradise.
