We had an absolutely wonderful stay with David and Jaqui. They were fantastic hosts so welcoming from the moment we arrived and incredibly knowledgeable about the local area. They made us feel right at home and even surprised us with a lovely welcome pack of goodies, which was such a thoughtful touch.
Set high up in the mountains near Comares, the views are truly breathtaking. Whether we were relaxing inside the apartment or unwinding in the hot tub, we never got bored of the scenery, it’s spectacular from every angle.
The apartment is extremely well equipped with everything you could need, including plenty of kitchen utensils, a coffee maker, microwave, and even an air fryer. The bed is huge and incredibly comfortable, waking up to that incredible mountain view each morning was something really special.
If you’re looking for peace, beauty, comfort, and warm hospitality, this is the perfect spot. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!

Amazing week staying at Vine Ridge. The peacefulness and tranquility of the surroundings was incredible. The apartment itself was perfect and had everything you'd need. David and Jacqui were fantastic hosts, incredibly friendly and welcoming, offering suggestions of things to do and always on hand for any questions. While it was a bit too chilly to test out the pool, we made full use of the hottub which was such a nice luxury to have. The walks in the area are not to be missed, but make sure you have good walking shoes and a decent level of fitness as the hills are steep to say the least. We had such a great time and will definitely be back!

We stayed for 7 nights in the apartment (with spare bedroom) and had a lovely time! All was very clean and tidy, and David and Jacqui have been wonderful hosts. Beds are very comfy, kitchen well equipped, the landscape is fantastic and the pool is awesome with its great views. The road up to the house takes a little time, but is no problem whatsoever. Hope to come back again (rather sooner than later :-)) All the best!

Well, what can I say, it's been ten years since I last visited and the magic is still there !
Unchanged and unspoilt views, this is truly an amazing place to visit.
To be able to wake and see the sun rising over the mountains from our bed is an experience of a lifetime.
With stunning views of mountains all around and to be able to see the Mediterranean Sea in the distance, one cannot ask for more.
If it's peace and tranquility you're after then look no further, Vine Ridge has it.
David and Jacqui were once again wonderful hosts and were always happy to help above and beyond our expectations. They are a lovly couple and are respectful of one's privacy.
We stayed in the Apartment (with spare bedroom) which was very clean and tidy. Facilities were... Good sized fridge/freezer, microwave, air fryer, coffee machine, toaster, 4 ring gas hob, tv and a pleasant surprise was an Alexa speaker thingy. Wi-fi was also a welcomed addition.
We cannot thank David and Jacqui enough for helping to make our stay (11 days) another truly wonderful occasion.

It was so fantastic to return to the Apartment at Vine Ridge Retreat. We have been many times before and we love the peace, the comfort and the sublime mountain views from the window. Views which subtlety alter with the changing of the light. An occasional Eagle can be seen passing by the window as it drifts over the valley. Each morning we wake to see the sun rise from behind Maroma and shimmer on the sea visible at Torre del Mar. David and Jacqui have thought of everything we need to comfortably eat, drink and relax at the Apartment and there is often the occasional visit from one or both of the friendly dogs - Charlie or Bruno. If ever we need local advice on amenities or places to eat David is aĺways on hand to offer his experience. We also used Allincarhire for our hire car recommended by David which were very reasonably priced especially when emplpying the VRR voucher code! The peace, friendliness and amaxing views mean we always depart feeling revived and refreshed and resolved to be back very soon!

We had a fantastic stay at Vine Ridge. Amazing views - nice apartment - friendly owners - beautiful pool area - daily visit from Charlie and Bruno ! We would love to go back.

A brilliant week staying at Vine Ridge. The apartment was well equipped with everything we needed and the views are incredible. It had been 6-years since our last visit and we’ll definitely make sure it’s sooner before the next! Can’t recommend Vine Ridge enough! The drive up from Malaga is easy too.

We had an amazing time. David was the most attentive person, he was always aware of if we needed anything, he always helped us in everything and he has a few cute dogs that always kept us company. The views from the place were also great, we would definitely repeat again. We feel at home!

From planning, arrival, staying and departing, David has been involved, helpful and gave some fantastic advice about Spain and where to visit.
We had a quick 4 day visit visiting many historical places.
Vine Ridge Retreats is 15 mins from the A7 motorway. Plenty of supermarkets within easy reach. The one in Comeras was well stocked and well priced.
The Apartment was well thought out and equipped with everything we needed for a self-catering break.The facilities were perfect. The pool area and outside areas were spacious and well thought out with us wanting for nothing!
The views form the Apartment across the valley were breath-taking. Sunrises and sunsets were amazing.
We will be back!
