Casa del Tajo – ‘The House on the Cliff’ in Comares occupies a unique position, overlooking the spectacular mountain scenery of Andalucia. It is close to the village swimming pool (July/Aug). Only a short walk from the centre of the picturesque mountain village of Comares, which stands 700m above sea level. With breath-taking views from the house you can survey the mules and goats being taken down the steep track that winds below the cliff. Look out for kestrels, that nest on the rock beneath you.
Comares, with narrow, cobbled streets, is steeped in history and can be traced back to the 3rd Century BC. Today there are Bars, Restaurants, a bank, a small supermarket, Chemist and Bakery. The pace of life is slow and in keeping with the past. Great for families /groups / reunions and the adventurous….climbing routes underneath the house and a fantastic zip wire is just a 100 m away, and you can enjoy the many walking routes. It is about 50 minutes from the beach at Torre del Mar by car.

The main house comprises:
3 double bedrooms ( one is small with a raised bed).
One single bedroom

Living room with smart tv.
Kitchen/diner.
There are wood burning stoves for the colder months and fans for the summer
The Apartment comprises:
One double bedroom
Small living room with sofa bed and Tv, kitchenette/dining room.
The double bedroom in the Apartment is a pretty room with a domed ceiling and air conditioning
The dining area leads straight onto a very private terrace with BBQ and spectacular views.
The house and the apartment are for the clients sole use.
Free on street parking can be found near the house.
As the house is built into the cliff there are many levels and steps so bear this in mind for small children or people with mobility issues.
